Dana Hamilton writes (oftentimes) humorous essays about sex/dating advice, travel, cannabis, and eating disorder recovery for many publications, including New York Magazine, Fodor's Travel, Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire, SELF, VICE, and many others. She has been sex columnist for Playboy since 2016 and also works as an anti-diet dating coach.
Dana is passionate about sex positivity, body positivity, and pointing out the toxic similarities between the diet industry and modern dating. Through 1-on-1 coaching, she helps people of marginalized genders (women, non-binary folks, trans men) make peace with their bodies and develop the self-confidence necessary to have the sex and dating experiences they deserve. In addition to being a journalist and coach, she regularly publishes content about dating and body image on Patreon.com/DanaHamilton. Dana graduated from NYU in 2010 with a B.A. in Individualized Study (concentration: writing and nutrition/food studies). Outside of work, Dana enjoys joyful movement (bike riding, hulahooping, swimming), cooking, reading, and laughing her head off with her wonderful partner, Evan. She currently resides in Los Angeles, California. Literary representation: Jim McCarthy (Dystel, Goderich, & Bourret) |
